Orange Police have an update on the shooting that occurred inside one of the service bays of Town Fair Tire, 63 Boston Post Road in Orange. on Saturday, Dec. 26.
The victim has been identified as Joshwua Figueroa, 27, of New Haven. He was shot multiple times by the suspect, Terrance Allen, 24, also of New Haven.
According to police, Mr. Allen was working as an employee of Town Fair Tire at the time he was confronted by the victim. He immediately fled the scene after the shooting.
Phone contact was made with the suspect shortly after the shooting but he failed to turn himself in. The nature of the dispute and the relationship between the two men is still under investigation.
With the assistance of the Branford Police Department, Mr. Allen was safely taken into custody at a local hotel just after 9:00 pm on an outstanding warrant out of New Haven for Violation of Probation and on weapons charges related to the earlier incident at Town Fair Tire. The investigation into the shooting is continuing.
