The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning, which will be in effect from 6 p.m. Thursday, Christmas Eve, Dec. 24 to 10 a.m. Christmas Morning, Friday, Dec. 25.
South winds of 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph are expected.
Damaging winds have to potential to blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Please be careful out there, pay attention to the road ahead, keep a safe distance from other vehicles, and make sure you come home safely to your loved ones.
