The town of Orange lost two giant retailers in recent years, Sam’s Club in 2018 and it’s neighbor Lowe’s in 2019. The fate of the two huge buildings was unknown until now.
Online mega-giant Amazon chose 48 Boston Post Road as one of the locations for its new Connecticut delivery centers.
The site of both former stores spans 114,500-square-feet and it will employ more than 100 full and part-time employees (on-site) and delivery drivers, too.
This is wonderful news for the town, which will benefit the tax rolls, and those who’ve been looking for a job that pays at least $15 per hour. See opportunities HERE.
The delivery centers are the final point in Amazon’s process of getting packages to its customers
Packages are shipped to delivery stations from Amazon Fulfillment and Sortation Centers, and faster delivery makes for happier customers.
