Nearly 200 die-hard runners participated in the Cohen and Wolf Cinco K de Mayo road race and walk this morning.
The weather wasn’t the worst ever, but at 50+ degrees and with a steady sprinkle of rain everyone crossed the finish line a little damp but feeling victorious nonetheless.
The overall winner was Jeffrey Townsend, 46, of Woodbridge, whose time was 18:56; Megan Thompson, 50, of Mansfield Depot was the first female to cross the finish line at 24:25.
Several Orange residents came out on top in his or her respective age group. Ken Ziman, 71, placed first in the Men’s 70-79 category; Gustave Davis, 80, placed first in the Men’s 80+ group; Dean Krehic, 11, came in third in the 10-12 age group; Lauren Pite, 59, placed third in the female 50-59 category; Dillon Courtney, 8, came in first in the male 9-under age group.
