On Sunday, Jan. 30, Orange police stopped a car on the Boston Post Road at 11:06 p.m.
During the traffic stop they spoke to the driver, James D. Howell, 43, of New Haven and during the investigation learned that he was wanted on an arrest warrant out of Orange.
The warrant stemmed from an incident that occurred on Sept. 4, 2021. Subsequently, he was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Howell was released after posting a $500 bond and received a court date of Feb. 10.
