On Sunday, Jan. 23, when the temperature was somewhere between 34 and 37 degrees, Orange police responded to575 Boston Post Road (Plato’s Closet) on a report of a small child left unattended in a motor vehicle.
Investigation revealed that Monaey T. Bethea, 20, of Derby left a child in an unattended motor vehicle while she entered a store to shop.
Subsequently, she was taken into custody and charged with leaving a child unsupervised.
Bethea was released on a promise to appear in court on Feb. 8.
