All three Debates Begin At 7 p.m.

The Amity Chamber of Commerce will host the first Town of Orange First Selectman Debate of the 2025 election season on Tuesday, October 7, at the University of New Haven – Orange Campus, 584 Derby Milford Road, Orange. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the ninety-minute debate starting promptly at 7 p.m.

Incumbent, First Selectman James M. Zeoli (R), and challenger Daniel Fitzmaurice (D) have agreed to address questions focusing on their incoming administration’s top priorities upon taking office, including economic development; town finances, spending, taxes, business friendliness and readiness, public engagement and quality of life.

The second debate, sponsored by the Congregation Or Shalom Men’s Club, happens on Sunday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. at Congregation Or Shalom, 205 Old Grassy Hill Rd. in Orange. This debate comes one day before early voting opens.

The third debate will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. in the gymnasium at High Plains Community Center, 525 Orange Center Rd.  Brandon T. Bisceglia and Attorney Theresa Rose DeGray will serve as moderators.
