Around 4:45 p.m. today (Sunday, Jan. 19) after responding to a house fire in Orange, Fire Marshal Tim Smith was returning home to Prospect on Route 69 (Litchfield Turnpike) near Downs Road in Woodbridge.
According to reports, his vehicle left the road and hit a tree.
From what I understand, Tim died at the scene.
My heart goes out to his daughters Hannah and Alexa, you girls were his world.
