Boys' Basketball: Cheshire Defeats Amity in Woodbridge

The Amity Spartans Boys Basketball team hosted the Cheshire Rams on Monday night in Woodbridge.
Cheshire had a one-point lead in the first quarter but pulled further ahead in the second with 15 points to Amity’s 7 — second quarter score 29-20 Cheshire.
The Rams continued to keep the Spartans at arm’s length with 18 third-quarter points to Amity’s 14 widening the spread to 47-34.
The Spartans put their game faces on for the final quarter scoring 20 points to Cheshire’s 14, but it just wasn’t enough. The Rams won 61-54.
Amity’s Tyler Thomas was the game’s high scoring player, pulling in more than half of his team’s points and nearly twice as many as Cheshire’s high-scorer Will Graikowski who had 17.
