The US Government doesn’t seem to consider American’s needs as millions of struggling families and individuals will go hungry without food assistance.
The town of Orange has a food pantry at the High Plains Community Center that helps a few dozen families that are not “well off.”
Stacey Johnson from the Community Services Department released the following list of items most requested to fill the shelves in the pantry for distribution to those in need.
If you are able, please consider picking up some of these items and donating them to help your fellow Orange residents.
Cold Cereal & Oatmeal
Granola & Protein Bars
Jar Tomato Sauce
Canned Soup and Broth (all varieties)
Canned Fruit/Individual apple sauce
Pasta, Rice & Mac-n-cheese
Salad dressing/Oils/ Vinegar/ Condiments (Mayo,
Ketchup, & Mustard), Salt & Pepper
Coffee & Tea
Peanut Butter, Jelly/Jam
Snacks: Individual Fruit Cups/Pudding/Jell-O
Household Items: Dish Soap, Laundry Detergent, Disinfecting wipes
Personal Care Items: Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Deodorant, and Bar Soap
Paper Products: Paper Towels, Toilet Paper & Tissues
Baking items: Flour, Sugar, spices, Ready made cakes/brownies
Gift cards to Shop Rite, Big Y, & Trader Joes are always welcome.
Monetary Donations: checks payable to Town of Orange, Treasurer,
Can be dropped off to the Community Services office
