Orange police responded to the CVS Pharmacy, 279 Boston Post Road on a shoplifting complaint on Feb. 19 at 8:02 p.m.
Investigation revealed that Michael A. Anastasio, 33, of East Haven had taken $885 worth of merchandise without paying for it.
Subsequently, he was taken into custody and charged with fifth-degree larceny.
Anastasio was processed and released on a promise to appear in court on March 4.
