On Wednesday, Jan. 19, at 11:02 a.m. patrol officers were called to police headquarters on Lambert Road to process John A. Lopato II, 51, of Newtown, who was turning himself in on an active arrest warrant stemming from an incident at the Tractor Supply on Dec. 1, 2021.
Lopato was accused of taking $1,019 worth of merchandise without paying for it. Subsequently, he was taken into custody and charged with with fourth-degree larceny.
He was released on a promise to appear in court on Feb. 2.
