Officers were dispatch to Derby Avenue in regards to a vehicle driving the wrong way on April 25 at 1:52 a.m.
During the traffic stop, police spoke to the driver, David M. Vanwagner, 31, of Watertown, who reportedly had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath.
He was asked to perform Standardized Sobriety Field Tests after which he was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving the wrong way on a highway, and disobeying a traffic signal.
Vanwagner was released on a $1,000 bond for court on May 11.
