At 5:40 p.m. the Orange Highway Department was just finishing loading up their trucks and getting ready to treat the roads to prevent any freeze up.
Going out during the continuous rainfall during the day would have been fruitless and a waste of materials as everything would have been washed away after it hit the surface.
Orange residents and those who pass through from surrounding communities know that Orange has the BEST road conditions in the area thanks to the knowledgeable and dedicated members of the highway department who go out in the most unforgiving weather to make sure it’s safe for you when you have to drive.
