Orange police were called to Target, 25 Boston Post Road on a shoplifting complaint on Sunday, Jan. 17 at 5:05 p.m.
Investigation revealed that Jimmy Denby, 24, of Hamden took $997 worth of merchandise without paying for it. Later stating that he was supposed to be quarantining due to Covid-19.
Denby was taken into custody and charged with second-degree reckless endangerment and fifth-degree larceny. He was released on a promise to appear in court on February 16.
