Dozens of residents braved the cold and windy Veterans’ Day Ceremony at High Plains Community Center on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m.
The Orange Police Honor Guard presented the flag and stood at attention during the shorter than usual ceremony.
The Orange Volunteer Fire Department raised a giant American flag on its ladder truck at the Mission BBQ restaurant as swarms of military veterans of all ages arrived for lunch.
The Police Honor Guard also showed their respect for the veterans there after the conclusion of the town ceremony.
To my nephew David (Us Marine and a Top Gun Pilot) and all of the veterans who fought so we can enjoy our freedom, Thank you for your service.
