The Case Memorial Library is here to serve the community. Library doors are open as follows:
- Monday through Saturday: 10 a.m. to 12 noon
- Monday and Thursday evenings: 5-7 p.m.
Masks are required at all times while you are in the building.
Study and meeting rooms are not available and there is limited seating. We ask everyone to observe social distancing.
We are currently providing the following services:
- Our public computers may be used on a first-come, first-served basis when we are open. At other times, they may be used by appointment. Call 203-891-2170 or email reference@casememoriallibrary.org to make an appointment. Time slots for computer appointments are Monday through Saturday, 2-3 p.m. and 3:30-4:30 p.m.
- Holds can be placed on library materials through our online catalog, by phone, or by email. When the items you request are available, we will call you to schedule a curbside pickup or you can come in to pick up the items. Hours for curbside pickup are Monday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Printing is available.
- Copiers are available.
We have online programs that are free and open to the public.

Join us for an online talk with Neil Thomas Proto, author of Fearless: A. Bartlett Giamatti and the Battle for Fairness in America. This book about the early years of A. Bartlett Giamatti, Yale president and baseball commissioner, is a story of persistence and the principled embrace of civic duty. The man who became Yale’s first non-Anglo-Saxon-Protestant president is presented in the context of his family’s history and that of the city of New Haven. Family Take and Make: DIY Cookie Cutters

For children ages 5-12 and their families. Too cold to go outside? Stay in and bake some cookies! Use our kit to make your very own cookie cutter out of tinfoil. Your kit will include instructions, materials, suggested shapes, and a digital list of potential recipes. Registration is required.

Ice Candle Making

For children in grades 1-3 and their families. Design an ice candle using soy wax and a milk carton! Please be advised that this craft involves hot wax. Participants must have access to a microwave and some ice. The assistance of an adult is a must for this activity. Registration is required and will open on Monday, December 7 at 7:00 a.m.
