Here’s what you need to know about the 24TH Annual Chilly Chili Run in Orange on New Year’s Day – from the Amity Teen Center’s Jane Opper.
After having to cancel the Chilly Chili Run last year, we are happy to say that there will be a race on New Year’s Day at 10:30 a.m. in Orange! However, due to COVID restrictions, we will NOT be serving a hot chili brunch to the participants after the race.
The award-winning Chilly Chili Run to benefit the Amity Teen Center is always the first official race of the year in Southern Connecticut.
Visit the race website HERE.
Registration for the 5K road race is $30.00 and $15.00 for runners 12 and under.
Registration for the 5K Fitness Walk is $15.00 for everyone.
The Chilly Chili Run is offering Early Packet Pickup and Late Registration on Friday, December 31 at the High Plains Community Center, 525 Orange Center Road from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Registration on Saturday, January 1st will begin at 8 a.m. and will close at 10 a.m. sharp. The Fitness Walk will begin at 10:15 a.m. and the Race will begin at 10:30 a.m.
This is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Amity Teen Center, which was formed as a non-profit in 1987. The mission of the Amity Teen Center is to provide a safe place where area teens can meet and socialize in a drug-free and alcohol-free supervised environment. We are located at 10 Selden Street in Woodbridge.
This is safe, fun and healthy way to ring in 2022! We are planning to hold as much of the race registration and awards outside under the pavilion. However, the building will be open for us in case of inclement weather. Masks must be worn inside of the building and we are asking people to be socially distant from one another.
