Police Blotter Logo thx DaveOn Aug. 20, at 9:03 p.m., police were called to CVS, 279 Boston Post Road regarding someone attempting to pass a fraudulent prescription.

During the investigation, officers learned that a local medical office had reported some of their prescription forms were stolen and possibly being used in the area.

Officers met with Yvonne Henley, 56, 0f 45 Pond Lily Rd #134, New Haven, and informed her that the prescription she gave the pharmacy was one that had previously been stolen.

According to the report, Henley admitted that it was not a real prescription.

She was taken into custody and charged with second-degree forgery and illegally attempting to obtain a prescription.

Henley was held on $1,000 bond for court Aug. 21.

Police Blotter Logo thx DavePolice responded to a complaint on July 28 at 5:36 p.m. regarding a “road rage” incident that reportedly occurred on Racebrook Road earlier in the afternoon.

According to the report, the complainant stated she was driving on Racebook Road when a car driven by Dominic Caciopoli, 72, of 490 Three Corners Road, Guilford, tailgated her, then stopped in the road in front of her.

Caciopoli reportedly exited the vehicle and began to yell at her about her driving.

The complainant was able to record Caciopoli’s car’s license plate and reported the incident to police.

Police cited Caciopoli with a court summons “driving with intent to harass” for his actions.

The date on the court summons is Aug. 14.

BEST POLICE Patch EVERPolice were dispatched to the Target store, 25 Boston Post Road, on a shoplifting complaint June 12 at 11:07 a.m.

According to the report, officers learned that Shavonnah Julious, 27, of 394 Greenwich Ave, New Haven,  had taken $514.69 worth of baby formula and a pillow from the store and left without paying.

Store security agents stopped her and detained her for police.

Police said Julious initially gave a fake name, but officers quickly determined her true identity.

She was subsequently taken into custody and charged with fifth-degree larceny and interfering with an officer.

Julious was released after posting $1,000 bond for court June 26.

orange police duiDrunken Driving

Patrol officers reportedly observed a vehicle traveling northbound on South Lambert Road in a clearly marked right-hand turn only lane on May 29 at 4:22 p.m.

According to the report Michael Haiday, 45, of 162 Bear Hill Road, Bethany, was driving erratically prior to being stopped.

Following the investigation, Haiday was taken into custody and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI) and failure to obey a state traffic control sign.

Haiday was released on $50 bond for court June 12.

 

Criminal Trespass

Police were dispatched to the Target store, 25 Boston Post Road, on a complaint of a person refusing to leave the store, May 26 at 5:04 p.m.

Officers said  Azanda Sonders, 47, of 52 Howe St, Apt 213, New Haven, had been instructed to leave several times, but refused.

According to the report, Sonders was uncooperative and was taken into custody and charged with first-degree criminal trespass.

He was released on a promise to appear in court June 9.

Patrol officers reportedly saw a driver disregard a blinking red traffic light on Indian River Road at 1:09 a.m. Nov. 22.

Police stopped the car and administered roadside sobriety tests on the driver, Ronnie Donohoo, 50, of Richmond Hill, NY.

He was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI) and failure to obey a traffic signal.

Donohoo was released after posting $100 bond for court Dec. 6.

Police Blotter Logo thx DaveOn Sept. 12 police were dispatched to a fine dining restaurant in the 300  block of the Boston Post Road on a complaint of a domestic disturbance at 11:14 p.m.

Investigation revealed that Courtney Suech, 23, of 14 Henry Albert Drive, Milford, had gotten into an argument with her boyfriend and that the argument turned physical.

Suech was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct.

She was released on a promise to appear in court Sept. 13.

Police Blotter Logo thx DaveA Milford woman turned herself in at police headquarters on Sept. 5 at 1:26 p.m after learning of a warrant for her arrest.

According to police, the warrant against Cathy Rainey, 55, of 22 Merwin Ave., 2nd floor, Milford, stemmed from an incident at an Orange restaurant in which she allegedly got into an argument with another patron ad struck that person before being separated by others.

Investigation led to the issuance of the warrant charging third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

Rainey was released on a promise to appear in court (PTA) on Sept. 19.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle make an improper stop at an intersection on the Boston Post Road on July 23 at 1:13 a.m.

Upon stopping the vehicle, officers administered standardized roadside sobriety tests on the driver, Jake Sabras, 24, of 166 Shorefront Road, Milford. After which Sabras was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI) and failure to safely stop at an intersection.

He was released on $50 bond for court on August 6.

Employees at U-Haul rental, 174 Boston Post Road, called police on July 19 at 4:30 p.m. regarding a book bag containing drugs that a customer had left behind.

During the investigation, officers found a small quantity of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and identification belonging to Alex Angeloff, 21, of 31 North Forest Circle, West Haven.

According to the report, when police contacted Angeloff, he admitted that all the items were his.

He was taken into custody and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Angeloff was released on a promise to appear (PTA) in court August 2.

Patrol officers reportedly saw a car drive through a red light on the Boston Post Road, eastbound, on April 19 at 12:53 a.m.

After stopping the vehicle, police administered standardized roadside sobriety tests on the driver, Amanda Houley, 20, of 323 Center St., Apt. D-2, West Haven.

Houley was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI) and failure to obey a traffic signal.

She was released on $50 bond for court May 3.

Fake ID

During the above mentioned traffic stop, officers asked the passenger for identification and she gave them what was determined to be a fake State of CT driver’s license.

According to the report, Paige Moran, 19, of 6 Colonial Place, West Haven, stated that she had purchased the license on the internet in order to appear to be over 21 years old.

The fake license was seized by officers, and Moran was taken into custody and charged with third-degree forgery

She was released on a promise to appear in court May 3.
