Patrol officers reportedly saw a driver disregard a blinking red traffic light on Indian River Road at 1:09 a.m. Nov. 22.

Police stopped the car and administered roadside sobriety tests on the driver, Ronnie Donohoo, 50, of Richmond Hill, NY.

He was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI) and failure to obey a traffic signal.

Donohoo was released after posting $100 bond for court Dec. 6.

Police Blotter Logo thx DaveOn Sept. 12 police were dispatched to a fine dining restaurant in the 300  block of the Boston Post Road on a complaint of a domestic disturbance at 11:14 p.m.

Investigation revealed that Courtney Suech, 23, of 14 Henry Albert Drive, Milford, had gotten into an argument with her boyfriend and that the argument turned physical.

Suech was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct.

She was released on a promise to appear in court Sept. 13.

Police Blotter Logo thx DaveA Milford woman turned herself in at police headquarters on Sept. 5 at 1:26 p.m after learning of a warrant for her arrest.

According to police, the warrant against Cathy Rainey, 55, of 22 Merwin Ave., 2nd floor, Milford, stemmed from an incident at an Orange restaurant in which she allegedly got into an argument with another patron ad struck that person before being separated by others.

Investigation led to the issuance of the warrant charging third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

Rainey was released on a promise to appear in court (PTA) on Sept. 19.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle make an improper stop at an intersection on the Boston Post Road on July 23 at 1:13 a.m.

Upon stopping the vehicle, officers administered standardized roadside sobriety tests on the driver, Jake Sabras, 24, of 166 Shorefront Road, Milford. After which Sabras was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI) and failure to safely stop at an intersection.

He was released on $50 bond for court on August 6.

Employees at U-Haul rental, 174 Boston Post Road, called police on July 19 at 4:30 p.m. regarding a book bag containing drugs that a customer had left behind.

During the investigation, officers found a small quantity of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and identification belonging to Alex Angeloff, 21, of 31 North Forest Circle, West Haven.

According to the report, when police contacted Angeloff, he admitted that all the items were his.

He was taken into custody and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Angeloff was released on a promise to appear (PTA) in court August 2.

Patrol officers reportedly saw a car drive through a red light on the Boston Post Road, eastbound, on April 19 at 12:53 a.m.

After stopping the vehicle, police administered standardized roadside sobriety tests on the driver, Amanda Houley, 20, of 323 Center St., Apt. D-2, West Haven.

Houley was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI) and failure to obey a traffic signal.

She was released on $50 bond for court May 3.

Fake ID

During the above mentioned traffic stop, officers asked the passenger for identification and she gave them what was determined to be a fake State of CT driver’s license.

According to the report, Paige Moran, 19, of 6 Colonial Place, West Haven, stated that she had purchased the license on the internet in order to appear to be over 21 years old.

The fake license was seized by officers, and Moran was taken into custody and charged with third-degree forgery

She was released on a promise to appear in court May 3.

drunk_driving_no_graphic_1Patrol officers reportedly observed a car being driven erratically on Orange Center Road at 2:08 a.m. March 3.

When they stopped the car, officers administered standardized roadside sobriety tests to Daniel Boemmels, 35, of 90 Rentell Road, Hamden.

Boemmels was subsequently taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to drive in a proper lane.

He was released on $50 bond for court March 18.

Here are the latest police blotter releases:

Drunken driving

Patrol officers observed a vehicle driving erratically on Route 34 on Dec. 22 at 11:11 p.m.

Upon stopping the vehicle, officers administered standardized roadside sobriety tests on the driver, George Norfleet, 70, of 175 Whittier St., Bridgeport.

Norfleet was taken into custody and charged with driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

He was released after posting $50 bond, for court Jan. 4.

 

Shoplifting incident

Officers were dispatched to the Stop & Shop, 259 Bull Hill Lane, for a reported shoplifter in custody on Dec. 23 at 4:50 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers learned that store security had observed Anthony Petruziello, 33, of 1052 Boston Post Rd #502, Milford select $60.48 worth of grocery items from the shelves, then leave the store without attempting to pay.

Store security stopped Petruziello and detained him for police.

He was charged with sixth-degree larceny and released after posting $500 bond for court Jan. 4.

 

Last Minute Shoplifting

On Christmas Eve, police were called to the Target store, 25 Boston Post Road, on a shoplifting complaint at 6:26 p.m. with the alleged shoplifter in custody.

According to the report, store security observerd Nicole Swinton, 36, of 306 Pine Rock Ave. Apt D8, Hamden, select $109.93 worth of clothing items from the shelves, then leave the store without attempting to pay.

Swinton was stopped by store security and detained for police.

She was charged with sixth-degree larceny and released after posting $125 bond, for court Jan. 4.

Pepper Spray Assault

Officers were dispatched to the Christmas Tree Shop, 200 Indian River Road regarding an altercation between employees, Saturday, Nov. 10 at 2:33 p.m.

During the investigation, officers learned that Taquanna Douglas, 21, of 26 May Street, 2nd floor, New Haven, a store employee, approached another store employee in a break area in an aggressive manner.

During this confrontation, Douglas reportedly sprayed the other employee in the face with a pepper-spray type substance. She was subsequently taken into custody and charged with third-degree assault and released on $1,000 bond for court Nov. 26.

The victim was provided with medical attention at the scene.

 

Larceny and trespassing

A Milford man reportedly was caught removing used tires from a storage area in the rear of the Town Fair Tire store, 63 Boston Post Road, Thursday, Nov. 15 at 7:17 p.m.

According to the report, officers later learned that the arrestee,  Robert Moretti, 48, of 278 Old Gate Lane, Milford, had previously been caught doing the same thing and had been warned not to return to the Town Fair Tire property in the future. He was subsequently taken into custody and charged with sixth-degree larceny and third-degree criminal trespass.

Moretti was released after posting $1,000 bond and given a court date of Nov. 29.

Drunken Driving Arrests

An East Granby man was stopped on Route 34, Westbound, Sept. 15 at 3 a.m. after patrol officers reportedly saw him driving erratically.

Police administered roadside sobriety tests on Michael Kokas, 24, of 21 High Farm Road, after which he was taken into custody and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI) and failure to maintain a driving lane.

Kokas was released after posting $50 bond for court Sept. 28.

 

Officers responded to the scene of a two-car accident on Route 34 Eastbound at the intersection of Grassy HIll Road Sept. 16 at 1:37 a.m.

Officers had Joseph Pacelli, 24, of 74 Pauline Ave., West Haven, perform standardized roadside sobriety tests. He was subsequently charged with DUI and following too closely.

Pacelli was released on $50 bond for court Oct. 1.

 

Patrol officers reportedly observed a vehicle driving erratically on Route One Westbound Sept. 16 at 4:05 a.m.

Officers stopped the car and had the driver, Luis Muniz, 22, of 406 Popland St., New Haven, perform standardized roadside sobriety tests.

Muniz was taken into custody and charged with DUI and failure to maintain a driving lane.

He was released after posting $50 bond for court Oct. 1.
