An Orange Tradition: Model Train Show On Sunday

It’s always nice to see the wonder in children’s eyes as the train roars by.

The 26th Annual New Haven & Derby Model Railroad Club’s annual model train show will take place at High Plains Community Center, 525 Orange Center Road, Orange, on Sunday, Oct. 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Admission (donation): Adults (over 18)-$5, Teens (12-18 with paying adult)-$1, Children under 12-Free.
The building is air-conditioned, is wheelchair accessible and there is ample free parking on the grounds.
A snack bar will be set up and a train ride is scheduled to be on site. Whatever railroad related item you’re looking for, you should be able to find it. Friendly club members will be available to answer your questions and point you to the appropriate vendor if need be.
Two huge rooms will house the vendor tables, and several gauges of model trains will be running elsewhere in the building. (Due to construction at High Plains, be prepared for some changes in the layout of this year’s show.}
