What’s New At The Library? How About A Virtual Trip To Iceland?

The Case Memorial Library, 176 Tyler City Road, offers the following upcoming events for tweens and adults.


Virtual Travelogue: A Trip to Iceland
Thursday, February 24, 7 p.m.
Join the Friends of the Library and presenter Gerri Griswold for a virtual tour of Iceland. Gerri Griswold has visited Iceland 52 times. Known as the land of ice and fire, Iceland is a geographical wonderland. It features glaciers, snow-peaked mountains, volcanos, geothermal hot springs, ice caves, gushing waterfulls, black sand beaches, and vertical sea cliffs. Come see Gerri’s spectacular travelogue and transport yourself to an island paradise. Presented by the Friends of the Case Memorial Library.

Tween Reads: Travel Edition
Monday, March 7
For tweens in grades 4-6. Go on an adventure without the hassel of packing a suitcase! Answer a few questions during registration, and we’ll check you out a book from our library that takes place in another country. The bag also includes a few goodies and a snack to enjoy. Registration is required, and kit pickups will take place in the children’s room between Monday, March 7 and Saturday, March 12.

The Bookcase Evening Discussion Group
Thursday, March 10, 7 p.m.
Join Bookcase leader Toby Zabinski for a Zoom discussion of Band of Sistersby Lauren Willig. Registration is required, as for online security reasons only registered attendees will be able to attend this event. Registered attendees will receive a Zoom link via email before the event.The registrant’s name as displayed on Zoom must match the name used for registration in order to guarantee admission.
